That’s why we’ve drawn up the following Toyota Tundra maintenance schedule. If you drive a Tundra, take a brief moment to consult this schedule for information on when you should bring it into the service center for its routine inspections, replacements, and rotations. Schedule service today!

5,000 Miles

Tire Service

During this initial visit to the service center, you can expect to have your tires rotated, all fluid levels checked and adjusted as needed, windshield wiper blades tested and examined for signs of aging, and finally, your brake system will be visually inspected as well.

10,000 Miles

At 10,000 miles, everything that was done during the 5,000-mile appointment will be repeated in addition to an oil change and oil filter replacement.

15,000 Miles

When your Toyota Tundra reaches the 15,000-mile mark, the following will be performed:

  • Installation of the driver’s floor mat will be checked for safety
  • All fluid levels will be checked and refilled accordingly
  • Windshield wiper blades will be inspected again
  • The propeller shaft bolt will be re-torqued
  • The tires should be rotated
  • The brakes will be visually inspected

This visit also requires the following parts of your Tundra to be inspected:

  • Ball joints and dust covers
  • Brake lines and hoses
  • Cabin air filter
  • Engine coolant
  • Exhaust pipes and mountings
  • Radiator and condenser
  • Steering gear
  • Steering linkage and boots
  • Rear differential oil

If your Tundra is equipped with four-wheel drive, the drive shaft boots will be inspected and the front differential oil will be looked at and changed if necessary.

20,000 Miles

Oil

At this point, you can expect an oil change, oil filter replacement, tire rotation, and all other tasks and inspections that are standard with a 5,000-mile visit.

25,000 Miles

When you bring your Tundra in this time, the following list of items will be covered:

  • All fluid levels will be checked and refilled
  • Windshield wiper blades will be inspected
  • Tires should be rotated
  • Brakes will be visually inspected

30,000 Miles

At this time, the automatic transmission will be checked to make sure it’s not leaking, the propeller shaft bolt will be re-torqued, the engine air filter and cabin air filter will be changed, and the oil and oil filter will also be replaced. Four-wheel drive trucks will have the drive shaft boots inspected, the front differential oil changed, and the transfer case oil changed.

Here’s what else will be looked over:

  • Ball joints and dust covers
  • Brake components, lines, and hoses
  • Engine coolant
  • Exhaust pipes and mountings
  • Fuel lines and connections
  • Fuel tank band
  • Fuel tank vapor vent system hoses
  • Fuel tank cap gasket
  • Radiator and condenser
  • Steering gear
  • Steering linkage and boots
  • Rear differential oil

35,000 Miles

When you reach 35,000 miles, all that will be required is the standard 5,000-mile maintenance.

40,000 Miles

Oil and oil filter changes are again added to the 5,000-mile service tasks.

45,000 Miles

Vehicle Inspection

Apart from the routines checks, this visit calls for a re-torqueing of the propeller shaft bolt and an inspection of the items below:

  • Ball joints and dust covers
  • Brake lines and hoses
  • Rear differential oil
  • Cabin air filter
  • Engine coolant
  • Exhaust pipes and mountings
  • Radiator and condenser
  • Steering gear
  • Steering linkage and boots

Those with four-wheel drive will again have their drive shaft boots and front differential oil checked.

50,000 Miles

At 50,000 miles, you’ll have an oil and oil filter change along with the normal 5,000-mile procedures that include a tire rotation.
