The great thing about fruit is that there are so many different varieties, and apples are no different. Carter Hill Orchard grows more than 11 different varieties of apples, which vary based on when they’re in season. With this kind of tasty selection, you’ll have a different experience every month you visit!

Every variety has its own uses, too. Snow Sweet apples, for example, are a September variety and are great for apple sauce or for eating in salads or as a snack. If you’re making an apple pie, stop by in October and pick-your-own Granny Smith apples.

Peaches are actually finicky to grow in the Northeast, but Carter Hill Orchard is one of the few New England orchards that is able to grow them. You’ll definitely want to stop by in mid-to-late July to grab yourself some of these sweet summertime fruits.
